Hydrogen has gained much attention as a clean energy and unlimited energy source for the future. Our research on hydrogen production will make it possible to produce hydrogen through natural energy (e.g.sunlight and wind power) and water splitting. R&D on the technology will be implemented in three stages: short-term, mid-term, and long-term.

Short-term task will involve the demonstration of a hydrogen station using natural gas steam reforming. Mid-term task will involve electrolysis technology that uses surplus electric power. Long-term task will involve research on the biological, thermochemical, and photocatalytic water splitting.
